What TabSync does

TabSync helps users save and view their open browser tabs across Chromium-based browsers through a private web dashboard.

Information we collect

• Email address for account creation, login, and account management.
• Password submitted during registration, login, and account deletion confirmation.
• Open tab data that the user chooses to sync, including page URLs and page titles.
• Browser-session details needed for sync, such as browser name, instance ID, and last sync time.
• User preferences such as theme choice and filter-list entries.

How we use information

• To authenticate users and keep accounts secure.
• To sync tab sessions between the extension and the web dashboard.
• To let users organize browser sessions, rename browsers, and manage filter settings.
• To provide account actions such as login, logout, and account deletion.

What we do not do

• We do not sell personal data.
• We do not use synced tab data for advertising.
• We do not collect health, financial, or precise location information.
• We do not record clicks, keystrokes, mouse movement, or unrelated browsing activity outside synced tabs.

Storage and retention

TabSync stores synced session data and account data on the TabSync backend so users can access their dashboard across devices. The extension also stores limited local data in browser storage, including the session token, browser name, instance ID, last sync time, cached filters, and related sync state required for the product to function.

User controls

• Users can dismiss synced browser sessions from the dashboard.
• Users can manage filter rules to exclude selected sites from future sync.
• Users can delete their account from the dashboard, which removes associated account data.
• Users can avoid syncing private browsing by using incognito or private windows.

Sharing

Synced data is processed only to provide the TabSync service. It is not sold or shared for third-party advertising.
